Starting care with a new provider can feel overwhelming. At Next Chapter Psychiatry, we want the process to be as clear and supportive as possible. Here’s what you can expect when reaching out to us for the first time:
1. Initial Inquiry
You can contact us through our online inquiry form or by calling our office.
A member of our team will review your request and generally respond, usually within 1–2 business days.
2. Scheduling Your Initial Evaluation
If we are a good fit for your needs, we will work with you to schedule an initial psychiatric evaluation.
This appointment is typically 60–90 minutes and conducted securely through our telehealth platform.
3. Paperwork & Questionnaires
Once your evaluation date is set, you’ll receive:
Practice policies and consent forms (must be reviewed and signed before your appointment).
New patient questionnaires to help us better understand your history, current concerns, and treatment goals.
-These documents are completed online and must be submitted prior to your evaluation.
4. The Initial Evaluation
During your first visit, your provider will take time to understand your history, symptoms, and goals.
Together, you will discuss treatment options, which may include medication management, therapy referrals, or other supportive resources.
5. Ongoing Care
Follow-up visits are usually shorter (30-45 minutes) and scheduled according to your needs.
We encourage open communication and welcome you to reach out between appointments through our secure messaging system if you have questions or concerns.
